We share our experiences from 2012
Francesc, our guide was passionate about walking. He feels alive when he is in the mountains. It is your natural environment. The rest of the world is secondary. From his passion he has made his "modus vivendi".
In a good mood and always full of energy, he looks restless when he is stopped. He is probably thinking about the next exit and with his enthusiasm he will drag any group.
Traveler and mountain from small children, has participated in different expeditions to the Himalayas, Alaska, Africa, etc.
We see her always happy, with a laugh in her face and wanting to help everyone. Untiring mountaineer and traveler. She has made the most of the tours we offer.
Those of us who dedicate this to the mountain do not live anywhere, but we do have a base camp. My is in Collbató, at the foot of the mountain of Montserrat.
Now I am guiding and collaborating with different entities. All this allows me to constantly expand the landscapes that are part of my day to day life. As one of the known people said, this being a mountain guide is not a job, it's a lifestyle.
"With his good work, he always knows how to handle situations, as complicated as"
I love hidden and lonely places, follow the advice of the people of the towns, enjoy each step and move to new horizons ... It is this passion that has led me to train me as a mountain guide and thus infect it My passion, which is a way of life. Looking to combine disciplines, I have carried out various Mountain Medicine and Expedition training and I have collaborated as a healthcare provider in various mountain races. At the same time, I always try to share knowledge and advice on prevention and security in the natural environment, so I have done First Aid talks for mountaineers.
I try to convey the emotion that I am experiencing at every step, my companions along the way, as well as the articles I write for the "Grèvol" mountain magazine. My love for nature has led me to live on foot from the most magical mountain of Catalonia, Montserrat, from where tirelessly, I plan the next adventure.
I became fond of the mountain at the 13 years, when in some camps I made my first summit, the Comanegra. Since then I have continued to climb mountains, first for the Pyrenees, and later also for other mountain ranges around the world: the Alps, the Atlas, the Caucasus, the Andes or the Himalayas. In fact, I have always found in the mountains a good excuse to travel and get to know other countries and cultures.
I enjoy mountain sports in all its modalities, whether it is hiking, climbing, skiing, ... I would say that I find in them all the possibility to discover new corners and landscapes, either on the other side of the world , as next to the house. That's why one of my favorite places is La Garrotxa, where after so many years, I can still lose and discover new corners.
I am currently living in Figueres, and I combine the guiding work with that of a chemistry professor.
I started to run for three years and I still have not stopped while changing the asphalt for the mountain in disciplines as diverse as climbing, hiking, crossing, Nordic skiing and resistance marches.
I wanted to be a journalist but I opted for the field of Physical Education; The time has allowed me to complete the two degrees with which I maintain a healthy balance. The specialization in Travel Journalism, the desire for constant movement and the desire to continue learning have led me to the world of guiding.
The writing of hiking guides, the editing of videos, the collaborations in Tarragona Ràdio and Canal Reus TV, the design of itineraries for municipalities and the accompaniment of people by the territory are part of the personal and work puzzle that I combine with teaching.
